Ladies and Gentlemen, and children from across the land one and all! RAGBRAI IS HERE!!!!
You are about to embark on a one of a kind event. There is just absolutely nothing like it anywhere in the world. Up to 15,000 or more joyous cyclists will descend upon Iowa and play nice as one happy family for a full week on their bicycles with virtually no auto traffic to contend with.
Along the way you will see the fantastic countryside of farms filled with ripening corn and soy beans. You will see cyclist dressed in costumes riding with twenty to a group. You will see small families with three generations of riders. There will be young couples and old couples; there will be single men and women of all ages from the world over. Even better than that, you will find the most excited and helpful hosts, the Iowans themselves. Your hosts want nothing more than for you to feel at home. They'll hand out cookies, cook meals, offer showers, shuttle you around town, they'll do just about anything they can do for you.
